Free and open to the public, this celebration will kick off with a presentation of the inaugural Laguna Beach LitFest Leader 2026 Award to Richard Bausch followed by a reception and meet-and-greet with local authors and LitFest guest presenters who will have books available for purchase.

Free and open to the public, this celebration will kick off with a presentation of the inaugural LitFest Leader 2026 Award to award-winning author, Guggenheim Fellow and Chapman University professor Richard Bausch. We are thrilled to recognize Richard for his impressive volume of work as well as his achievements in fostering the art of writing in Laguna Beach and all of Southern California. Local authors and LItFest guest presenters will be on hand to sell their books and visit with guests. Please join us for wine and small bites as we gather to celebrate Laguna Beach's incredible writing community and connect with the greater Southern California literary world.
