our work

Third Street Writers has published four editions of Beach Reads, an anthology of the best submissions by our members and the public around a central theme. We are thrilled that our collection of ekphrastic writing, Art Inscribed, inspired by the Friends of the Arts show in the summer of 2022, is now in its second print run. To have your name placed on the waiting list click here. All proceeds from this book are donated to the Artists Fund hardship grants. In addition to these publications, our members' writings have appeared in collections, newspapers and periodicals throughout the country. Many have written acclaimed books, essays, flash fiction and poetry. All share a love and enthusiasm for the written word in all its genres.

But don't take our word for it--read some for yourself

Third Street partners with Stu News to create community column REVEALING LAGUNA BEACH MOMENTS

from Laguna logo.png

Capturing moments in our lives - funny, poignant, sad, insightful - establishes our shared humanity. In 2021, Third Street encouraged people to share their Laguna Beach experiences with the readers of Stu News in a weekly column called From Laguna with Love.

This project sought to connect the diverse, amazing wonderful Laguna Beach community and to reveal life here is not always beautiful sunsets on pristine beaches - although we are thankful to have that as part of our landscape. Through words and photographs told our stories.
