Third Street Writers formed in 2015, when a handful of dedicated writers saw the value of emerging from their solitary endeavors and found the power in a writing community. From its early days, meeting at the Laguna Beach library and listening to others' works, Third Street has evolved into an artistic powerhouse within Laguna Beach.

With over 60 members, the group now has members specializing in fiction, non-fiction, poetry and screenwriting. We meet at the SusiQ Center.

Third Street holds weekly workshops, public readings and partners with other Laguna art organizations for specialized events throughout the year. Guest speakers delve into the craft and opportunities in the writing field and work is critiqued in a constructive, supportive environment. A signature project is its annual Art Inscribed book, published in conjunction with the Festival of Arts.

In 2027 Third Street is thrilled to host the Second Annual Laguna Beach Literary Festival, Jan. 8 and 9. This city-wide event , open to the public with some ticketed events, will include panels, workshops and keynote speakers. It celebrates both writers and readers. Do join us - we'd love to meet you.
